Canggu is the coastal area to the NW of Kuta / Seminyak. Going back 5 years the whole area from Jl. Batubelig out to Pantai Seseh was known as Canggu. Nowadays the various localities are becoming more well known and names such as Berawa, Perenenan, Echo Beach, etc. are also used.
